    The correct serial port is selected and i my laptop has a serial port I have not checked if the lead works on another PLC but the serial port works on different makes of PLC seimens and Omron I am beginning to suspect it may be that my software is to old

    I am trying to write a program to a FX3U PLC using my trusty red cable and FX works2 software but i get an error message <ES;0180840b> Unable to communicate with specified CPU or Station and I dont understand why! can anyone help?
