  1. Dear Network,  I found the problem Actually I got the answer from an expert. View Designer was introduced with Studio 5000 version 30.01.01. the View Designer emulator can be used to test the application during development: Menu Project-->Emulate Project An ameliorated View Designer was introduced with Studio 5000 V32 but still limited because there is no support for View Designer emulator to talk with Studio 5000 Logix Emulate. If a path from the emulator to a controller is needed, use a supported hardware controller and revision.  https://rockwellautomation.custhelp.com/app/answers/answer_view/a_id/1071447 https://rockwellautomation.custhelp.com/app/answers/answer_view/a_id/970081 Regards,  Hichem.
  2. Thanks for your answer but I'm not using FTV SE. I created a simple program with 3 tags In1, In2 and Out (if In1 and In2 then out) and I downloaded it to my Emulogix 5868 (I'm using Studio 5000 logix designer V32 and Studio 5000 logix emulate) . I created a display with "Studio 5000 View designer" and I added a Numeric display to show the value of the tag "Out". Since I donc have an HMI I used the "emulator of the Studio 5000 View designer". when I run the application the Numeric display become Red showing an error "BAN Controller Status Indicator Not Supported on Windows" "Enable to reach the controller emulate"Which take me to my question is it possible to communicate the Logix View Emulator and Emulogix 5868? I searched this information in the manual and I found that you can Set the path from the View 5000 Emulator to a virtual controller but when I tried it it doesn't work ;(  It may look stupid question but if you read carefully and understand the problem you will see that it is not. I added pictures to explain more my problem. thank you in Advance.
  3. Dear Network,  My purpose is to test a application created with Studio 5000 view designer using view 5000 Emulator and Logix Emulator. I created a simple program that contain 2 tags using Logix designer V32. Using RSlinx Classic I add a virtual Backplane. I add new controller Emulate 5570 using Studio 5000 Logix Emulator. I  downloaded the program created to the Emulate 5570. I created a simple application using Studio 5000 view designer to visualise the 2 tags created, since I don't have a real HMI panel view I tried to test the application using the view 5000 Emulator. I Added controller references to the project and set the Emulator to Controller path in the References tab in the project properties. I Set the path from the View 5000 Emulator to the controller, since I don't have a real PLC I decide to select the controller that I created from the virtual backplane running Logix Emulator. When I run the application tags are in Red and message shows that communication with the controller cannot be established. I searched in the manuals but I couldn't find any answers   Could you help me with that, thanks in advance
