Calculation sheet for CX-Designer data log groups to calculate always

Excel sheet to calculate the total number of always logging points per group and per pen.
I've quickly made this because of the rather small amount of points available (50.000 CXD2) I have to shift a bit forth and back between sample times and spans to fit all my trends in.
Fil in the group name number of identical groups number of pens per group sample time and trend span and it calculates the number of points you have used.
Sheet is protected with a blank password to prevent accidental changes but you can suit it to your needs.

This is a little program I made in the process of learning how to connect to a omron PLC using Ethernet and UDP FINS with JAVA.
I will put up some samplecode later on to explain how it works in java.
As I see it JAVA is an excellent language to use to this and the only problem that I encountered was how to transform all the strings to make them understandable for the PLC that wants hex-code thru a socket that only can send a byte array.
The program lets you create a socket connection and then you can send commands to the PLC and get the responce.

200DMReadTimeTest

Utility to time how long it takes to read 200 consecutive DMs out of an Omron CS1 / CJ1 / CP1H /CP1L PLC.
The utility loops 100 times (reading 200 DMs each time) and shows the total time and average for each read.
This utility supports both Toolbus and CV Mode Hostlink protocols.
It supports COM1 - COM16 up to 115200 baud.
It does not support Auto Baud Rate Detect for Toolbus.
