Full Version: Logix5000 positioning question

Have uploaded and read tones of manuals from AB library but strangely have not found an answer there.
The question is: do CompactLogix and ControlLogix systems feature high-speed stepper positioning, something like PTO in MicroLogix family?
If yes, could anybody link me to the specific manual for this?

TWControls
Not that I know of. There is a stepper module from an Encompass Partner that might work depending on your application. There are also some modules with scheduled outputs but I doubt they are what you are looking for

EDIT - Actually you may want to have a look at this module. 1756-OB16IS. It does look like it is designed to do motion cams though I have never used it

Thanks for prompt reply.
But what this means then?

TWControls
You might call and verify but I think that would better read "Stepper or Servo via Devicenet"

I guess that is an option too so

Devicenet
1756-OB16IS
Encompass Partner

I'm pretty sure there is a Compactlogix equivalent for all options too
