I know they are skipping CPR8 but what happened to 9. I thought it was going to be out by now.

Are you really in that big of a hurry to debug AB's next generation of software?

I am not sure about CPR9, but RSlinx 2.51 and RSNetworx 8 coming out next week.
As far as RSlogix5000 ver 16 release - it will be out not earlier than February.

Funny I saw Alpha or was it beta Ver 16 in April.

It's often said that you can have things done fast, or done right.

We saw what happened when Rockwell Software tried "done fast"; the result ws RSView SE 3.0.

I'm willing to wait if it means the product quality and reliability go up.

Yes, I am in a hurry. I just finished installing a CPR7 RSView SE project and am just starting a new project. I really hate to do revision changes in the middle of of a project.

Also, I went to RSTechEd and saw many of the things that will be in CPR9. There are many features that I would really like to use. In particular I like the way that alarm logging is being moved to the PLC. Currently in RSView32 and even more so in RSView SE communications rates kind of mess up alarm logging and things often get missed and acknowledgements lost. Who knows if will be any better but do trust the RS programmers to not make it any worse.
