I just went to an update seminar on RSLogix5000 ver 16 and was informed that this is the last version that will support the FlexLogix controller. Not much else since the experts did not show up. It was only a sales guy who had limited information. Scheduling conflict I guess, or so I was told. Just an F.Y.I.

Yes, that's true. The L34 controller is the second generation FlexLogix design, but even it's memory is not big enough to plan on putting v17's feature set into. You'll always be able to run existing FlexLogix with existing firmware.

The good news for rabid 1794 FLEX fans is that there's an adapter being designed to hook FLEX I/O onto the next CompactLogix design, and I think that FLEX is still supported as local I/O to the DriveLogix.
