Hey fellas,

Does the clock in a PLC5, specifically S:23, continue to run even if the processor is not in run mode?

Just remember that a PLC 5 clock has an error factor greater than most PC Clocks. I've found that synchronizing clocks in running PLC5's monthly was a good habit. If the time is critical.

Thanks for the info Bob. Keeping time is not critical in this case. I'm just using the second clock as a heartbeat in my HMIs. FYI, we sync the clocks daily.
