I need to order a replacement battery for a system, but I am not sure if the controller is Series A or Series B. I only have the RSLogix5000 program. Under the controller properties, I have a 1756-L61 revision 15.4. Can I determine it from here?

Thanks!

I used RSLinx to determine the Series.
Right click on the module and pick Device Properties.

I have a 1756-L63/B LOGIX 5563

I didn't design this system, but was e-mailed the program. The plant is a plane flight away, and I don't have any physical access to it. The only reference I have is the program! Help!

I don't think you will find it in the program. Have someone at the plant pull the processor out and look at the label on the side of it. It states it there.

Or have someone get the part number off of the battery

I am waiting on this right now. Just wanted to know if there were any "tricks" to find out...

Visual identification:
Ser B controller has a BLUE battery and CF slot on the front of the processor.

Thanks, I took a look at the ControlLogix manual and notified the electrician of what to look for.
