Hi,
I have the possibility to learn Codesys. I don't really know it. Is it the effort worthy.
Intentions: using it for scada and OPC applications.
Is it usefull for adapting and examining Siemens,Omron, other PLC programmes?
opinions, experience, hints tips are welcome

thank you
PdL

I have worked with Codesys during a training course. I was used working with the CX Omron Suite so I thought it was a pain in the *ss. It is completely a IEC 6-1131 package, so what you learn in Codesys you can apply to many other brands.
You can do a lot with it though. Ladder, FB, STL and there is an integrated visualisation module.
I don't know how it's licensed but I might have the training disk.
