Note the B63:58/1 bit symbols on the attached screenshot.

Everything became correct after the file verification command, but still be aware that this is possible.

Sergei can you explain the steps you did to do this and what version of RsLogix you have? I don't mess with symbols too much so I probably not familiar with the normal way of creating. I get this error when I try to make duplicate symbols

Two rungs shown were offline edited one after another.
Then the symbol was edited in one of these rungs (do not remember in which one) using right-click dropdown menu on the contact.

The effect shown was not intended and I've never observed it before.

Ok never mind. Thought you found something similar to mulitple aliases like RsLogix 5000 has. Makes multiplexing on Panelviews nice

File Verification checks data table extents and indirect addresses, so I'm not surprised that it correlates the symbol table too.

I checked this in version 7.10 of RSLogix 500 and the symbol immediately updates in all used locations, no matter if you right-click and Edit Symbol or use the Symbol Database Editor.

I habitually click File Verify after doing edits anyhow, because otherwise all the rungs stay in Edit Mode (not like in RSLogix 5000 where just cursoring off the rung verifies the rung). That's just part of having a "relaxed-mode" Editor, unlike the DOS editors that had to verify each edited rung before proceeding to another.

And so does my version usually. That's why I was so surprised this time.
