Full Version: Dh485 Connection Problem
Forums.MrPLC.com > PLCs and Supporting Devices > Allen Bradley

Hardware & Software:

SLC 5/02
PCMK ser B
RsLinx ver 2.5
RsLogix 500 Pro ver 7.0
Windows 2000

Problem:
When I connect to the SLC I get booted "offline" after being connected "Online" for only a few seconds.. I have tried two different Labtops (Loaded with Identical Software) and two different cables, same results. I have had similar problems in the past using Dh485 connecting to different SLC 5/02's but this is by far the worst as usually I can stay online for minutes and not just seconds. I have never had any problem with using DH+ with the same Labtop, Software,PCMK..........

Anyone ever had or seen any problems like this??

Thanks for any comments...

One other thing I noticed is it creates a split screen to show two rung 0's, This seems a little strange

....Ignore the big white square that was inadvertantly my fault......

Thanks for bringing this one to my attention....I Forget shrug.gif

Although the problem with DH485 and the SLC 5/02 was not fixed with the HotFix. It did however fix my communication problems with DH485 and SLC 5/03. I ended up replacing the 5/02's with some old 5/03's I had around and all is well.

In conclusion I found that the Hotfix mentioned in Mickey's post did fix my problem with Linx 2.5 and the SLC 5/03 on DH485 it did not however fix the problem with the SLC 5/02. Obviously there is some communication differences between the two.

I have attached the HotFix.........

Thanks for the help!!

I think we have all done it. The difference is if your same issue comes up again, we can find you pretty easy to figure out if the problem was solved or not wink.gif
