Can you give a part number of the AB USB to DH+ adapter? I was not aware of one and would like to look into one myself.

As TWControls said, no USB adapter for DH+ ( that I know of) however there is a PCMK card

heron8888 might have a 9300-USBS module, which is an ordinary USB to RS-232 converter. You can use it for DF1 or Modbus or any other ordinary asynchronous serial protocol.
He also might have a 1747-UIC, which is a USB to DH-485 converter. This device only works with DH-485 networks and devices, though it has both an electrical RS232 port and an electrical RS485 port.
DH+ is totally different from RS-232, RS-485, and DH-485.
You can't just put a plug between the USB converter and the DH+ port on the controller. You need a protocol converter, such as the 1770-KF2 (huge and expensive) or the Data-Link 3500 series converter (less huge, less expensive).

You are correct. The cable for going from a 1784-PCMK PC Card to a 8 Pin mini DIN connector such as on a SLC 5/04 is a 1784-PCM6

Just be sure you've got a series B card... If you have a series A, you have to specifically request a series A cable. (And then they'll probably send you a series B anyway.. But that's a different discussion :)
