Hello thanks for looking at my post...
My question or one of them is this...I have two dc drives with analog outputs 0-10vdc...My thinking is to wire these to AB 1769-IF4 channels 0,1...Then address these inputs to two SCP instructions on different rungs...input I:1.0 and I:1.1,,,input min 0...input max 32767...scaled min 0...scaled max 100 (for 0-100%)...outputs N7:0 and N7:1...Then use these integers in LEQ and or GEQ instructions on other rungs to turn on or off OUTPUTS...this is to replace OLD cam switches...should I put these instructions on a rung by thereself or have instuctions ahead of them for timing etc...point is to get outputs to be true or false with various speeds of the dc motors...anyone out there done this...have a better way...do you think my idea will work...THANKS

Greetings BDS,

if I understand your question, then "yes" what you are proposing to do makes sense ... but ... I think that for the 1769-IF4 module, the "32767" value that you mentioned probably should be "31206" ... take a look at the chart below and double-check your calibration and scaling ... there are several different ways to configure this type of module, but if you're setting it up the way that I think that you are, then the highlighted values below are closer to what you're looking for ...

the chart is cut from page 3-11 of this manual ...

and to answer you specific question, most SCPs are programmed on "unconditional" rungs ... so "two rungs" and "two SCPs" with NO "extra timing" instructions would be a very common approach to this particular situation ...

hope this helps ...

BDS
Greetings Ron
Yes I see 31206 thanks
I was not thinking 32676 is max which is 10.5vdc
Thanks again for the post
when I get over there I'll give you a call. oops.gif
