As you know we have done some upgrading. Both in the forums and downloads here is a running list of upgrades you might like to know about. I might edit this post in case I forget, so check back every few if you notice some changes.

Forum Upgrades:
1. Multi attachments in posts.
2. Attachments in private messages, and multi attachment support in PMs.
3. Rich text editor (you can turn it off and on in your profile under board settings)
4. Your subscribed topics get e-mailed to you, the actual text. (settable in email settings in your profile)
5. RSS support to an RSS reader such as RSS reader, google toolbar, XP desktop, etc.
6. WYSIWYG editor (rich text editor only), works like Word, where you can bold, do colors in your post.
7. Spell check in post, you need to download ispell, a link is there when you use it first time. Internet Explorer required to use it I think....I dunno if it works under FireFox yet
8. Country Flags in under your name, got to edit profile and select your country and your flag appears.
9. Better search functions
10. Ability to RATE posts and give them stars.
11. Lots of little short cuts here and there, (go to last post), (jump to page), (etc...)
12. Search ONLY in a topic, you know those post that have 42 replies? You can only search the topic. Search box is at the bottom of the page for topic only searches.
13. Change the topic view, by clicking on Options.
14. My assistant upgraded.
15. Tons of changes in my controls (your control panel)
16. Personal Note Pad in My Controls.
17. You can change your TITLE after so many posts..I think the post number is 100. Those of you with over 100 posts can make your title anything you want (under your name when logged in).
Downloads Upgrade:
1. Bunch of bug fixes.
2. Manage your files better.
3. Tree menu system.
4. Smaller URL to reference download files. (if you posted links in your posts at mrplc, they have all be globally updated to the new link.
Bad things:
1. Firefox doesn't work too good with new editor.
2. Download database is slower, it makes 200+ database queries to run it now. (sometimes 1-2 seconds)

I absolutely love it! Now I can call myself a jack of all trades instead of guru! The new editor is cool, the overall look is fantastic ... very cool form to present the function-ality quickly and clearly. A work of art!
Thanks

I don't know if this is a "new" feature of if I just noticed it for the first time.. When I created a new topic, the capitalization of the title was changed. I typed "Looking for DH485 "AMP" connectors" and it changed to "Looking For Dh485 Amp Connectors". Obviously not exactly what I wanted! How do I turn this feature off?
thanks,
Kevin

Yes that is a "New Feature" We have control of that. It's called the "auto shout disabled" Or to catch those that forgot to turn the caps lock button off.
I guess if it becomes a problem, we can disable it. I don't really see anyone abusing the CAPS LOCK title rule. It's common equiette now anyway.

Is there anyway to turn off the email notification of replies to post? I check the forum almost everyday, and many times I forget to uncheck the email notification box, can the default be set to unchecked, and then if I want I can check it.
I looked through the profile settings, but did not find any thing.
thanks,
Ken
