Can anyone point me to info regarding the RSView32 using Lotus Notes to send text messages to a cell phone? Trying to get alerts (error messages) sent to the cell phone since I am not at the desk very much anymore. Thanks

I haven't tried it, but the capability is contained in the RSView32 Messenger tool which can be installed from the Extensions CD. On the CD there is a messenger.pdf help file with setup instructions. You can send voice messages to a phone, e-mails, pager messages, or output to a sound card. You may have to use the pager method to send text to a cell phone??? I'm not sure how you would get to a cell phone using Lotus Notes. It may require a combination of the various techniques.
Good luck, and let us know how it works out. Paul C.

Hi, Why do you need Lotus Notes to send text messages to cell phones? You can use U.C.ME-OPC software (see http://www.controlsee.com ) that may send text messages to cell phones in any of the following ways:
1. Using a cellular GSM modem. (Siemens, Wavecom, Sony-Ericsson,...) 2. Using an analog modem and the TAP protocol. 3. Using email-to-sms service.
Regards. Michael.
