Hello,
I tried to install RSLinx Professional Rev. 2.43.01.23 (CPR6) in WinXP.
After installed, then configure drivers with PCMK and OK, status running.
But when selected RSWho, always error "Failed to create empty document".
I had been tried to uninstall then install again, but always same error.
Please help........

try this. Uninstall RS Linx and use the Microsoft Windows Installer Clean up program to get rid of any left over junk from the previous install process. Then re-install.

I tried to clean all programs, that listed in Installer CleanUp. Installed RSLinx again, but still same...."Failed to create empty document"....

Go here RA Search, and type in "Failed to create empty document" in the search text box. There are dozens of papers on the subject. The first one shows you how to find out what went wrong during installation (which .dll not correctly copied) by looking at the install.log.

I thought about this too: If this is Win XP Pro, you may have to have administrator priviledges when installing.

I ran into this once. I had to delete the harmony project files located under

#:\program files\rockwell software\rscommon

Make sure RSlinx is completely closed before you try and delete. These files will be re-created when you start RSLinx again.
