Hi

Just wondering what is the maximum number of cards allowed on a slc 500 plc, including the cpu. Also would anyone have an example of a remote I/O program or how do you go about setting it up. Any info would be a great help.

SLC processors support up to 30 individual I/O modules and a maximum of 3 I/O racks. Chassis are available in 4, 7, 10 and 13 slot sizes, and the local chassis can be expanded to 2 local racks via a local expansion I/O cable. Remote I/O requires a number of things: a 1746-SN (RIO Scanner Module) in the local chassis to scan the I/O and 1747-ASB (RIO Adapter Modules) in the RIO chassis. Refer to the User's manual for these modules for hardware and software configuration for these modules (they will also show ladder logic examples).
