I am looking for suggestions on selecting a load cell to be used in the food industry. I am looking at a dampened one from Tedea-Huntleigh or a undampened load cell from Hardy. The load cell will be used in a washdown enviorment that is about 60 F. We will communicate with the load cell with a Hary Mod. in a SLC 503.

Personally, I've never heard of those load cells, maybe I don't get out much. I've used Sensotec and Cooper

Sensotec

Both places have amplifiers that can be purchased with VOLTS or AMP outputs. I've had extremely good luck using both, they have a wide selection, and the sales staff is very knowledgable when you call them on the phone.

I was also impressed with there stock, generally Sensotec has a turn around time of one to two weeks. I've crushed many load cells in my days, and I am glad Sensotec keep them on hand.... lookaround.gif
