Sounds like your project is corrupted, not RSView. Try opening another project that's known to be good. If you don't have a backup, you may have to recreate parts of it from scratch. You should be able to import parts of your old project bit by bit until the problem occurs. I don't have RSView in front of me right now, but if you look at how the project is stored on the hard drive, it's separated into several folders. You can create a new project and save it, then copy stuff from the corrupt project into the new one. Each time you copy something, open the project to make sure it's not corrupt. From your description, it sound like the tag database is corrupted. You may be able to delete just those files and then recreate only the tag database. Also, there are literally hundreds of tech notes on ab.com concerning RSView. Some of them may offer assistance with your problem
I've had a strange problem with an OEM project that got really strange when we tried to upgrade v7.10. My advice is don't upgrade until you've gotten your project fixed.
Good Luck!

Try exporting the database using the import/export utility and then re-import. The export will give you three CSV files that you can examine using EXCEL.

The RSview cache can become corrupt. It is worth deleting the cache and see if it works.
To prevent problem we had re-occuring I wrote a utility to delete the cache, then start RSview. If it would be useful you can download it here

You might also want to check the properties for all of the folders in your Project to make sure that they are not set to "Read Only". This could happen if the project was backed up and/or reloaded onto a disk.
