Using rsview' messenger you can select an option to send one alarm to a phone number but it fail at run asking for some dialogic drivers. Rockwell support told me that i must buy a new card voice (about USD1000). There is another way to make a phone call to send an alarm?

Mind you I've never done this before, but wouldn't you ASCII-write an AT command to the modem to dial your pager number, pause until the pager is ready for the number, have the modem "dial" the number, and then just timeout?

Hi,

Yes. There is another way. You may use U.C.ME-OPC software (see http://www.controlsee.com ) that may use the Way2call telephony USB device. This device may generate phone calls. The price of this device is about 300$ only.

U.C.ME-OPC may be connected to RS-View via OPC. U.C.ME can be also used to send alarms via SMS, email, Fax, Multimedia and more.

Michael.
