I would like to make copies of current logic in all my 5/03 processors, when I go online I can see all the bit descriptions and all the ladder names, but if I upload the logic to laptop to make copy there are no descriptions. any ideas ?

When you go on line, just save the program. You now have a copy of what's running in the PLC, with the comments.

Note:
You will get a message about updating tables, that is something you will have to decide, on case by case basis.

As Ken says, just save the file when you are online. But if you want to upload (which is no different from saving online) then choose the "use file" option.

The comments are stored in the file on the computer and not the PLC. Saving whilst online just copies the program from the PLC and then saves it along with the comments to the file name you specify.
