HELLO:
I HAVE AN AB SLC 500 5/03 PROCESSOR AND RSLINX.
I PROGRAMMED THIS PROCESSOR VIA DF1 DEVICE MANY TIMES SINCE 2002
NOW, I CAN´T COMMUNICATE WITH IT VIA DF1, BUT DH485 WORKS BY 1747-PIC.
I RESET THE MODULE MANY TIMES, BUT DF1 DOESN´T WORK.

Go online with the PIC and look at the Channel Config. for CH 0. Someone may have inadvertantly changed the settings. Make sure it is still configured for DF1. Can you see it using DF1 in RSLinx? You may just have a bad CP3 cable.

if the excellent advice offered by mgvol doesn't do the trick, consider this ...

you might have to DELETE the PIC driver in RSLinx before the DF1 driver will work ... note that just "stopping" it might not be enough ... yank it out by the roots ...

basic idea: with some operating systems, the PIC driver "owns" the computer's comm port ... so the DF1 driver might not have access through the comm port if the PIC driver is installed ...

Isn't that a pain in the tail... I was hoping that a new driver might fix that, but I guess they don't have an XP driver...
