I have a SLC500 1747-L40C/f fixed controller. The problem is when i am online through rslogix, and i am in run mode, I see the edit tool bar, but the rung edits is not lit-up. When I go to the pull-down it is not highlighted there either. I'm beginning to think that this plc does not allow online editing. Any advice would be better than where I am at right now.

No, the fixed SLC, 5/01 or 5/02 do not support online editing.
