I currently have to set up a system to be able to dial in (getting on line) to a Micrologix 1500 from a laptop via a GSM Modem which is attached to the micrologix.

Is there anyone out there who can help.
Very much appriciated.

Many GSM modems have a big failing when accepting incoming data calls, if the call is made using the SIMs normal GSM phone number then the call is not seen as data so is never answered.

The fix is either to get a data number from your mobile service provider for that SIM card or some modems will accept a special string to make them answer all calls as data, however not many GSM modems seem to support this. Check your user documentation.
