I am starting to use Modicon's COncept v 2.6. We pretty much just utilized the same type of conrtol PLC program from job to job but just change the pLC manufactuers.

Is ther a way to cut and paste an Allen bradley program such as a PLC 5 or SLC 500 or contrologix into a Modicon Concept PLC program and just change the adressing?

Do you have the import export capabilities to export to an Excell CSV file?

Whats the difference between the Modicom Concept IEC programming and the AB RLL programming? brainbulb.gif

Don't think such a utility exists but would be nice to have one.

AB programs can be dumped into a text file. With Concept, you can export your logic into text files as well except for Ladder Diagrams. Descriptions/comments from both can also be dumped as well.

Concept IEC allows you to program in 5 different laguages (Function Block Diagram, Sequential Function Chart, Ladder Diagram, Insstruction List, and Structured Text) based on the IEC 61131-3 standards as well as the old 984LL ladder logic found on older Modicon PLC's. AB RLL is Relay Ladder Logic. The IEC equivalence would be the Ladder Diagram. Depending on the AB platform or CPU, you can program in Structure Text and Sequential Fuction Chart as well.
