Hi All:

I have one SLC5/03. RS232 is used to connect my panel. Who can tell me how to use DH485 to connect my PC RS232 for programming?

I really appreciate your help!

It's called a 1747-PIC interface. They don't work very well on modern PC serial ports because they were designed in the mid-1980's.

Instead, get a "1747-UIC" USB/DH485 interface. That will let you connect your PC running RSLinx software and the "DF1 Full Duplex" driver directly to the RJ-45 style DH-485 network port on your SLC-5/03.

And look into getting a User's Manual. It's a good read. Honest. You'll like it. Especially Chapter 1.
