Usually in PLC5 I save the corrected program and change the file properties to read-only. Later, when I open the read-only file, I get a copy of the file - and save this to a new file name (new time and date)

In RSLogix 5000 when I do the same - I cannot open the read only file, but I would like to get a copy.... as before

How can I do this?

Create copy of your read only file, make sure read only attribute is removed
from te copy and then doubleclick on it (copy).

The program now says:

Failed to open file xxx - access denied - error 717-80070005

It should rather say:

The file xxx is currently open or read only file - would you like to work with a copy - and then I would click Yes.

Hoping to get this standard feature soon....
