Hi friends I worked in wasted water plant implementing a artificial neural network for a coagulant dosing control and implementing a fuzzy controller to adjusting the dosage, IN that moment I used a LabView applicaction designed for this kind of intelligent controllers. Now I wish to implement a fuzzy controller in the clarification of sugar process but using a fuzzy controller in Allen Bradley PLC , but I don't have previous experience in this area, this meaning that is my first fuzzy controller in a PLC.
If you have previous expirience in this field , i will be so gratefull with you.

Hi,

Some years ago I looked into ways of implementing fuzzy logic in a PLC5 and did some preliminary work on an application that never went ahead. So my experience is minimal and not practical. However, the subject is very interesting for me, so put up some details and I'll help if I can.

Which A-B processor will you be using?
How many inputs / outputs?
Have you started on membership functions and rules?

I believe you will need to do this sort of work on paper and then convert to code. A-B made a timid (and brief) foray into this field about 10 years ago with a package for drawing membership functions (trapezoidal only) and creating rules and then producing PLC5 ladder code, but that's not around anymore.

AB did dabble with a full-blown fuzzy engine for the SLC500 processors about 6 years ago. I did actually have the thing installed on my PC for a while and it looked quite interesting although I never used in a real application.

It does exist....but it might take some luck to prise it out of Rockwell.

U can use Allen-Bradley Logix Family to implement a fuzzy controller...

Just need the add-on FuzzyDesigner for RSLogix 5000 v.16...

www.ab.com for more information...

I hope it helps u!!!

Fabian,
This thread is 6 years old. My guess is he's got it working by now.
