blink.gif Hello,
I am trying to interlock two different machines. One has a compact Logix with an IP address of 10.X.X.X and the other is a Control Logix and has an IP address of 192.168.X.X. I have tried to write to it with a MSG command from the Control Logix with a communication string of LocalENB,2,10.X.X.X,1,0 but it does not see the compact. Am I totally off base with this. Thanks for any help any one can give. DC

Do those IP addresses have to be what they are or could you change one of them to match the other, it will make things much easier

I was hoping I would not have to change them due to the fact on of the machines controls multiple elau servo's and I am trying to keep my costs down(software), however if that is what I have to do then I can

They're on 2 separate IP networks. Your options are to use a router between them or to change addresses.

You could use the gateway adress, on the compac logix“s gateway box write a 192.168.x.y adress.
