Hi All
I have an old peice of equipment running an S5 plc, it has been out of service for nearly a year now and i tried to start it up but it appears that the back up batteries are now flat.
Some one once showed me how to make the unit boot from the epromm using the switches on the unit but i can not remember how this was done.

Any one no the procedure?

Kind Regards

From my memory press the run/stop switch down for a few seconds. I dont remember whether the led starts to flash before you release or when you release. At that time the P.L.C should load from the EPROM.

Good Luck

Hi,
if you have the eprom with aplication, try to do this:
Power off of the CPU.
Remove the battery.
Insert the Eprom.
Power on the CPU.

If you still have trouble, tell us type of CPU.
