I have a requirement to control five PLCs using 3 PCs running Citect. I would like to have 2 of the PCs control 2 PLCs each and a supervisor PC with access to both of the others controlling the fifth PLC as shown in the attachment.

What I would like is some guidance as to whether this is possible with Citect, how to start implementing it and how many licences the network might require?

Thanks,

Iain

Well i suppose the first question is why have you come up with this design as it seem a little odd really ?

Its classic Citect clustering stuff really with a global client, nothing too difficult

As for licensing you are best talking to your Citect sales guys, i can never get my head round whats required licesnse wise, it may also depend on what failure you are willing to accept with licenses on various keys etc
