I finally got a new laptop, a Dell Vostro 1000, and I can't get its modem to negotiate a connection with 9300-RADKIT modems. It will work fine with US Robotics modems, and also RADES ethernet modems. Anybody have any ideas? I am stumped and I haven't managed to get the time to play with AB customer support yet, and its something to do with my modem so I expect a brush off. I have tried resetting the modem to factory defaults with no luck. It won't even connect using Hyperterminal.

Not a modem expert, but in my limited experience it always pays to set the PC modem for fixed speed and parity rather than allowing it to auto-negotiate despite what ever the manufacturer claims. This is about my only help I can offer.
