Hi folks, I know this is a plc forum, but this question is related. I have a honeywell UDC 2300 mini pro limit controller. Is there anyway that this can be converted to a basic on/off controller, meaning I want to take the latching off of the limit relay and control the temperature with it.

Thanks

What is controlling the temperature now? I would think that the limit controller is there for safety reasons and probably not a good idea to remove from the process. A little more info on the process would help.

I need a new temp controller for my hot tub. The old control system went south and I improvised with some switches and relays with 12 vdc coils. The temp is controlled now by a moore SPA. I picked up a surplus Mitsubishi FXON plc, this honeywell minipro, and a moore SPA. The SPA switch works ok at controlling the temp, but I would like something with a digital readout and easier to change the setpoint. When I got the minipro, I didn't realize that it was a limit control. I can still use this to insure that the tub doesn't get too hot. I can get the type controller I want from factorymation for around a $100.00, but if anyone has a less expensive solution I'm all ears. I'm slowly getting the plc programed like I want it. I'm an instrument tech by trade, but I don't have a lot of plc experience.

Thanks for your help
