I am in the process of conecting 3 machines on one of our production lines using the same CXP programme using a CJ1M PLC previously 1 PLC controlled each machine will the CJ1M be quick enough to control all 3 machines, the programme contains 4 Input and 3 Output cards.

You would have to work that out for yourself.
If it is too slow it would only mean upgrading the processor to a CJ1H or CJ2 with a much more powerful and faster processor.
I think you are going the wrong way and would always have 1 PLC per machine. If one machine has to be turned off and the PLC isolated you cannot use the other 2.
Also, if the PLC should unfortunately fail you lose 3 machines not 1.
