Developing a new specification for ControlLogix programming standards for outside vendors. Wanted to get the forums insites. Any assistance appreciated.

Here is one that bugs me to no end when I see it done wrong or not done at all.

Wire number or device name of an input and output should match a tag in the controller tags.

Be sure to call out the language options Ladder/SFC/Structured Text you prefer to see used.

Also specify passwords and protection levels. Otherwise a vendor might try and claim proprietary code.
