I have problem about PLC B&R with Type EX290, i want to check the problem but i don't a software and the cable, can any body tell me what software i must to use and where i can find the software for free??

Contact B&R directly and ask them. I do not think the software is free.

You need to use Automation Studio. There is an evaluation version available here:

You will need a copy of the project as well as B&R PLC's don't allow for uploading...

Hello,

EX290 is not a PLC but an X2X bus controller for System 2003 product line. The PLC would be something like CP474 or CP476.

To connect to the PLC, you need a straight RS232 cable and a program called PVI Transfer.

You can use this program to download the logbook (error log) from the PLC.

Automation Studio is used for development or maintenance. You only need if you are going to program the PLC.

If you are sure the problem is with EX290, you need to look at the LEDs. They are described in the datasheet.

EX290 has no programming of its own.
