Hi,

I have a Multi Vendor Interface, 1756-MODULE Generic, that handles communication between a proprietary piece of equipment. Every now and again this thing loses its comms and the easiest solution is to reset the card from the I/O tree. This takes 10 seconds and fixes all my problems.

Can this be done in code using a trigger without human intervention? I suspect an SSV or the likes may be able to perform it, I just can't find out what the parameters to the command are.

Any advice?

Follow the instructions in Rockwell Automation KB technote 28639 to configure a CIP generic message selecting your module in the path. It should work with every module....
