Full Version: Micrologix 1100 Ethernet question

While looking at the specs on the Micro 1100, I noticed the ethernet is messaging only. Can someone tell me what this means in basic terms? I was hoping to use the ethernet port to connect directly to a HMI for a user to monitor and control the process.

Any help would be great.

Thanks!

What they mean is that you cannot control Ethernet/IP IO racks. You can certainly use the port for communication to/from an HMI.
