i'm tring to upload from a panel view 600 plus with no sucses , I'm using panelbilder 32
any ideas what is wrong?

What error messages are you getting?

How far is the program progressing before it errors?

Can you provide a screenshot of the error?

ALso make sure RSlinx, Fax or some telcom program is not tying up com port.

Which is the Panelview Cat. number ?

May be the serial port is configured for printer; you may check this and it should be disabled.

1. Change to Configuration Mode by pressing the left and right cursor keys together on a keypad units. For Touch screen units, cycle power, and during power up press the bottom right corner of the screen when a box appears there.
2. Scroll down to the PRINTER SETUP option and press Enter.
3. Press F7 (or the button itself on a touch screen) to toggle the state of the Port Mode to Printing Disabled.

Also, if you are using the DF1 internal driver from Panelbuilder32, be aware that the serial COM port you want to use is not already configured in other softwares (i.e. RSLinx classic, RSLinx Enterprise, etc.)

If it is actually a 600 PLUS then Panelbuilder is the wrong software

You need RSViewStudio ME or SE (or the new brand FactoryTalkView Studio) in order to do this.

The PLUS PanelViews require the newer FactoryTalkStudio HMI development software. Keep in mind that if you want to just upload the program from the HMI, what you are going to get is the compiled program (.MER) and not the full application (.APA). There is a thread out here for converting the uploaded MER file into an APA application folder.
