Hello,

Is there any way to decode the datalog model files from RSView trends in order to get the data whether in excel, cvs or plain text format?

How could I, save trend data in order to make reports with that them?

Any suggestion is welcome.

Thanks and best regards!

Aren't those .DBF files?

I open them directly in Excel. There is one file(in my case) named with the dat then AT.dbf This file has the tagname in column A and the tag index in column B. The second file contains the data for the first tag under column E. The top of column E has the tag index number not the tagname.

For this to work you have to setup the datalog storage format to dBase IV (wide).

You may have to put an add in in excel to open .dbf files. I don't remember.

Thanks,

I am going to check because I was given some .DAT files that when I try to open them in excel the Value column is filled with ASCII type characters..

Best regards.
