Hi everyone,

Can anyone tell me how to link a pushbutton in a panelview project to a bit in RSLogix 5000 that has a Tag name? I have looked into trying to import the RSLogix 5000 tag database into RSView but it will only import from RSLogix 5 & 500. Does the bit in the PLC need to have a fixed address, for example b3[0].0???

I'd really appreciate some help on this.

Thanks

Here is the tag structure:
{[AirLogix]PanelView_Start_Button_Indicator}
where AirLogix is the shortcut name and the rest is the tag name as you entered it in the processor.
You can place this directly in the connections tag of the button, under "tags/expression". If you set up the PanelView and processor correctly you can actually point and click on tags in the processor. Using this method does not create a true tag database in the PanelView.
