Looking for a way to display the description text of a certain tag on the screen of a PV+ terminal.

Is there a way to format the tag address in a string display or text label to show the description of the tag that is set-up in RsView?

I have once loaded text in a panel that showed the tag names that were driving the objects on the screen.
All these text / panels were set to invisible.
I had a button on the screen labeled TAGS that set an internal bit to make these tag names visible.

I was trying to do the same thing last week, what I ended up doing was creating a retentive
memory string tag tagname_desc, and then in the initial value parameter, added the
actual description that I wanted to be displayed.

It was not the ideal solution, but was what I could get to work in the short time that I had to
get this working. Was a pain, in other scada packages, you can address most of the fields
associated with a base tag
