Full Version: RSLinx2.43, Win2003 server, 1747-PIC interface - driver problem

Hello,

I using windows 2003 server with all upgades, RSLinx 2.43 and 1747-PIC interface.....but RSLinx canīt use 1747-PIC interface.

i dont no where is problem. Windows 2003 server is on compatability List from RSLinx 2.43...

I believe there were problems with the 1747-PIC and newer laptops/Desktops that did not have "true serial ports." The usb to serial adapters people used to connect would not work. I was told to change to the 1747-UIC which gives you RS-232 connection and DH-485 connection through a usb port.

I have no choice, I must use 1747-PIC,com1 or com 2 ports, 1747-PIC works properly under Windows XP,but not under Windows 2003 server.......is another way to fix this problem ? something like another driver or patch for win 2003 server ?

See PDF, the driver is not supported by Win 2003

I second the above, the best bet is the 1747-UIC if you have a USB port.
