Packaging Machinery builder is looking for a Controls Engineer

DESCRIPTION



Candidate will be able to provide programming, integration and communication for various PC’s, PLC’s, HMI’s, single and multi-axis servos, VFD’s and related components on standard and custom packaging machines.
Able to design machine controls per NFPA 70, NFPA 79 and UL 508A, Issue bills of materials and provide schematics to production using AUTOCAD 2004 or 2008.





GENERAL FUNCTIONS & RESPOSIBILITIES



Work with Mechanical, Electrical and Control Engineers during the design phase to develop an understanding of machine functions.



Create a Working model of all software and be prepared for test and debug when machines are “Powered Up”.



Participate in start up and commissioning of machinery in plant and occasionally at customer’s facility.



Develop all necessary records of machinery software and coordinate with Documentation Department in the preparation of related material for the Users Manual.

Maybe called upon to design machine controls and provide electrical drawings to the production group.

EXPERIENCE

5+ years automation, machine, or related qualifications
Experience with Rockwell products - RSLogix 5000, RSview, Kinetics Servos. Bosch servo experience a plus.
