here i mafacing a problem about the RSlinks. my rslinks in not working as a Service, but it working well as application., Is there any body who can help me. I have also try to reinstall , but the problem is there.
Thnks if any body comes with a solution.

What's the problem exactly ("not working")? Which program are you using to connect to RSLinx? I have seen instances where an OPC client can only communicate with RSLinx when it's set up to run as an "application". My guess is that it boils down to Windows COM security settings.

I m using RSlogix5000 when i run linx as a service,its hangs and appears as not responding.but it works normal with as application.

What operating system are you running? What version of RsLinx? Has it ever working on your computer?

Oh, I think that's a more unusual problem since you're connecting with Logix. Tim's questions are dead on. Also provide any additional info about specific error messages, logs, etc. But I'll just do what you would - a Google search. I have a feeling it's a "contact Rockwell" question - unless you happen to be running Vista...

Yup, you may right. i am using window xp Professional version 2002 service pack 2.
