Can anybody detail on the implementation of filter HPF or LPF in Logix controllers. I have a very faint idea of WLead and Order parameters. I want to use the HPF to filter out some noise in the incoming analog signals. I would appreciate if anybody could tell me the WLead , order parameters OR how to tune the filter by trial and error.
Thanks

What kind of noise are you trying to filter out? For most Process Signals I normally use the LDLG Filter (under the Process Tab) as it is a First Order filter and is easy to use. All you need to set up is the gain (should be 1.0 to keep the same signal value) and the Lag Time in Seconds. Is this all you need?
A general Rule of thumb is to keep the Lag Time at less than one fifth of the open loop time constant so as to not affect the ability to tune the controller. If you make the filter Lag Time too high you do not see the real process signal.
