I was running RSLinx 2.30, everything OK
Installed Panelbuilder 3.71,
now RSLinx crashing on W2k SP2 Notebook.
RSLinx crashes on startup.
Downloaded RSLinx 2.31 from web site, same thing happens

Usually I see this when RSLinx isn't completely shut down (i.e. it was running as a service) when something else that uses the RSI licensing was installed.

A-B Knowledgebase document P5850 goes over the most common causes of RSLinx startup crashes.

The only one of those I've personally seen is corruption of the "harmony.RSH" file.   The solution was to totally shut down RSLinx (using the service launch utility) and delete Harmony.RSH, then restart RSLinx.   I lost all my driver configurations but at least Linx restarted.
