I have read several threads regarding connecting to a 1746-BAS module but didn't see what I was looking for. I'm using a 5/04 and struggling to connect to the basic module. I'm using a null modem cable. The module jumpers are set as follows: JW1 to left side, JW2 to right side, JW3 1&3/2&4, JW4 3&5/4&6. Hyperterm set to 1200,N,8,1 (tried Xon & None), line delay=300, echo on, tried auto line feed both on & off.
When I power up I see a house looking character rather tahn a > (from prev thread). For grins & giggles tried typing in list. Any direction will be helpful. PS the same results on a different Basic module. Thanks

Got it! Reconfigured JW4 from 3&5/4&6 to 3&4/5&6.
