This is my question.

When you perform a download to a SLC 5/04..05 etc. Does this download also download (burn) to the EEPROM?

When power is lost , the CPU loads from the EEPROM is my understanding.

Go easy on me guys, I am self taught... notworthy.gif

You need to save to it.

That depends on the state of bits S:1/10, S:1/11 and S:1/12. In Logic500 open up the S2 status file, click on the Mem Module tab - you may need to scroll right with the arrow buttons or stretch out the window size to see the tab - and then click help to see how to configure these bits.

And by the way, if your SLC has an EEPROM installed, DON'T FORGET(!!) to manually update it whenever you make changes to the SLC's main memory. You'd think RSLogix would warn you if the contents of these two memories become unsynchronised, but it doesn't. You won't find out until the next time somebody cycles power on the SLC!
