Well I just completed two major projects with the L32E. I used ethernet flex I/O and prosoft MVI69-mcm card. Project went well. The system was designed for up to 8 drops all on ethernet. I did not have any network issues. I was dissapointed with the Prosoft card. The MVI69 does not operate the same as the 1747-mcm or the Control Logix MVI56-MCM card. During the course of my testing I found a problem with the prosoft card which they fixed with a flash upgrade. I have asked AB and Prosoft why this card operates differently and no one could answer. The biggest difference is that you have to set up a user defined tag in the Processor equall to the amount of data you are bringing in. Where as the Control logix is based on a block number on a buffer file, when the block number is equal you copy the data into a tag. The way the MVI69 works it eats up alot of memory quick as I had 2880 words that are now duplicated in the application twice. O yeah I filled all of the memory up on this processor. Next project I will have to use the L35E.

I was impressed with the power of the Compact and hope to use it again soon. dancered.gif
